National Football Alliance for Indian Women formed

PIFA Director Anjali Shah invited by Sara Pilot (Cequin) to join the National Football Alliance to take Indian Women Football to greater heights on 13 April 2018 in Delhi.

The roundtable ‘National Alliance Meeting’ was attended by important stakeholders across the arena of football, as well as essential and significant agencies such as: All India Football Federation (AIFF), Australian High Commission (AHC), Football Federation of Australia (FFA), British Council, Deakin University, Delhi Soccer Association and other stakeholders in football.

The objective is to ensure a culture of playing football for girls, instead of only investing in elite training academies, need to also focus on hyper-local level interventions and encourage competition which will ensure maximum participation
