The Elite team this season played extremely well and were on the verge of a historic 3rd place finish in Mumbai’s top division but a an unfortunate result will see us finish in the top 5, which is a superb result in its own right.
They also ended the I-League 2nd Division qualifying campaign on a high after beating Akbar Travels 2-1 in the playoff round to finish 3rd overall. The Colaba outfit were unfortunate to be defeated on penalties in the semi-finals but showed character to win at Cooperage on Wednesday. The goals came from Canopy Chu and Souvaid Ansari.
